Sewer district seems to get its wish in water bill

While the rest of California waits on a water deal in the Legislature, it appears Sacramento sewer district officials got what they wanted Friday.
In negotiations with Senate leader Darrell Steinberg, the Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District secured language in the water bill protecting it from having to buy expensive new treatment technology if a controversial Delta water canal disrupts its ability to discharge wastewater
