Police decided to set more security outside ATM’s and banks after many cases of robbery had been reported in the Western Cape.
A furniture shop employee robbed between R20 000 and R30 000 cash by three men from First National bank in Diep River on Monday.
Senior Superintendent Billy Jones said, “We set a visible patrol and a specialized operation on ATM’s and banks because people are followed in these places and robbed their cash”.
Jones also said that ever since the patrol was set robbery has decreased.Bush Radio 89.5fm -- The Mother of Community Radio in Africa
