Time to take another break from talking trades and focus on a ballgame instead. Tonight is a big rubber match between the Bucs and Cubbies.

Virgil Vasquez was not expected to do much when he came up here to replace Ian Snell, but impressed in his first start (defeating KC). The Royals are not the best of offensive teams, but neither are the Cubs at the moment, so V.V. has a prime chance to get off to a great start here in Pittsburgh.

Randy Wells has had a tough time notching W’s thanks to the struggling Cubbie bats, but he’s still pitching pretty darn well. Could this one turn out to be a low scoring pitching duel between two guys we’ve never heard of before this season?
