Sharon Osbourne and Holly Robinson Peete Front-runners to Be the Next Elisabeth Hasselbeck

According to CBS Entertainment chief Nina Tassler's session with reporters at the opening session of the summer TV Critics Press Tour, CBS's new Julie Chen–moderated daytime show will be called The Talk — it's not like The View, at all! Tassler dismissed suggestions that the Chenbot's show — created by former Roseanne star/lesbian mom Sara Gilbert — was picked up only because her husband, Leslie Moonves, runs CBS's parent company; she said the call to choose The Talk was all hers. "I don't think Leslie was unhappy," she conceded, later telling reporters that Chen popped in the pilot and shouldn't be penalized "because she's his wife." As for the other burning question related to The Talk— who's gonna be the wacky right-wing answer to Elisabeth Hasselbeck? — the CBS boss said both Sharon Osbourne and Holly Robinson Peete had major right-wing proclivities.
