After experiencing sharp pains and stomach aches last week, Dancing With The Stars pro and two time champion Julianne Hough, 20, went to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center following the last week’s live results show to get checked out. The pains turned out to be more serious than a stomach ache. Julianne has been diagnosed with endometriosis, a common condition in which tissue from the uterus lining grows outside the uterus, causing painful cysts and possible infertility. The growths can appear on the surfaces of organs in the pelvis or abdomen. Hough will undergo minor surgery to remove her appendix, according to a statement posted on her Web site Monday. “After consulting with her doctor, this course of treatment was recommended. Hough will address the surgery on Monday night’s ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ where she’ll perform with celebrity partner Cody Linley.” I only caught the end of the show last night where they were all doing the group dance, so I didn’t see her talk about it, but she seems to be doing good. She was dancing her little heart out during the hip hop group dance. UPDATE: Julianne announced she will be temporarily leaving the competition to have the surgery and while she’s away Edyta Sliwinska will be taking her spot and dancing with her partner Cody Linley. Edyta was eliminated a few weeks ago with partner Jeffrey Ross.
