Eminem’s “Recovery” is Still No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Beats Rick Ross’ “Teflon Don” by 11,000 Copies

Gossip on ThisJuly 30, 2010

Eminem’s latest album Recovery is still sitting high on the Billboard 200 albums chart. So high that even fellow rapper Rick Ross, who just released his new album Teflon Don last Tuesday (Jul 20), couldn’t bump it down, even though Recovery has been out for 5 weeks!

Em’s new album sold 187,000 copies while Ross’ even newer Teflon Don album sold just 11,000 copies less putting him at #2 on the chart. The rest of the top 5 albums for the week includes Sheryl Crow’s “100 Miles from Memphis” (#3 – 55,000), Drake’s “Thank Me Later” (#4 – 43,000) and “Kidz Bop 18″ (#5 – 43,000). Justin Bieber’s “My World 2.0″ sold 47,000 copies and Lady Gaga’s “The Fame” sold 24K, coming in at numbers 6 and 9 respectively.

Meanwhile “Love the Way You Lie”, Eminem’s new single featuring Rihanna, debuted at an impressive No. 2 on the Hot 100 chart. But Em says he knew all along the song would be a hit. He told MTV shortly before the track hit airwaves: “[The song] I did with Rihanna is one of those tracks that I felt like only she could pull it off, only she could do it.”

Eminem is killing the charts right now!
