What's in a name? Celebrities sometimes go with traditional names for their babies and others go a more unusual route. Either way, there's usually a reason or inspirationbehind the names they chose.

Harlow Winter Kate Madden, born January 11, 2008:
Parents - Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. How did they chose their daughter's name? Joel says, "I really like Jean Harlow the actress, and [Nicole] likes Shalom Harlow the model. Harlow's cool because it feels like a classic name. Winter [is] so serene and quiet and that's how [our daughter] is."
Max Liron Bratman, born January 12, 2008:
Parents - Christina Aguilera & Jordan Bratman. Max's name has meaning for them both and Liron is Hebrew for "my son" or "my joy" and pays tribute to Jordan's Jewish background.
Honor Marie Warren, born June 7, 2008:
Parents - Jessica Alba and Cash Warren. A friend of Jessica's had suggested the name Honor to her and both she and Cash wanted their child's name to be different than the norm. Alba explains, "One of my friends said, 'If I ever had a girl - but I'm not having any more kids - I would name her Honor.' I said, 'That's a great name for a boy or a girl.'" Marie is also Jessica's middlename.
Stella Doreen McDermott, born June 10, 2008:
Parents - Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott. The celebrity couple said that finding the right name for their baby was a challenge. Tori said, "I used to be obsessed with the book Great Expectations. Estella was the main character. It wasn't fitting though. And then one day, Dean was like, 'What about Stella?' I said, 'That's it!'" Doreen is in honor of Dean's late mother.
Maddie Briann Aldrige, born June 19, 2008:
Parents - Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge. The teen parents each chose a name for their daughter. Jamie Lynn explained, "Maddie is a name that Casey thought of, and I really liked it." Casey's cousin and close friend, Briann was killed in a car accident and he wanted to pay tribute to her and it's also in honor of Jamie Lynn's older brother, Bryan.
Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban, born July 7, 2008:
Parents - Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. Nicole's dad had suggested the name Sunday in honor of Australian patron of the arts Sunday Reed. The parents agreed andbecause they both love Sunday - it's their favorite day of the week. The 41-year-old actress said, "That's our favorite day. If you're lonely, Sunday is a very lonely day, and if you're happy and you've got your family around you, then Sunday is a beautiful day."
Levi Alves McConaughey, born July 7, 2008:
Parents - Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves. Matthew said, "Our son was born at 6:22 p.m., and this particular time represents my favorite verse in the book of Matthew in The Bible: 'If thy eye be single, thy whole body will be full of light." Levi is another name for Matthew in the Bible and Alves honor's Camila's family.
Maximilian Davidand Emme Maribel Munez (Max & Emme), born February 22, 2008:
Parents - Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony. This celebrity couple never explained their names choice, however it's believed that David honors Jennifer's father and Maribel was the name of Marc's late sister, who died from brain cancer.
Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt:
Parents - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Marcheline pays tribute to Angie's mom who passed away after battling cancer for several years. The name "Vivienne came to us early, as if she named herself," explains Pitt. "She has always been Viv." Knox honors Brad's grandfather as that is his name, and Leon "is a classic French name."
Bronx Mowgli Wentz, born November 20, 2008:
Parents - Ashlee Simpson Wentz and Pete Wentz. The first-time dad said, "We came up with the idea Bronx, we'd been throwing it back and forth a while ago The Jungle Book is something me and Ashlee bonded over. It's really cool."
